There are various ways to classify friendships, but one commonly cited typology is based on four types:

Acquaintance friendships: These are relationships that are based on casual interactions, such as those with coworkers, classmates, or neighbors. They tend to be relatively superficial and may not involve much personal information or emotional connection.

Casual friendships: These are relationships that are characterized by more frequent interactions and a greater sense of familiarity than acquaintance friendships. They may involve shared activities or hobbies, but they do not usually involve a deep emotional bond.

Close friendships: These are relationships that are characterized by a high degree of intimacy and a strong emotional bond. They often involve sharing personal information, providing emotional support, and spending a significant amount of time together.

Intimate friendships: These are the most intimate type of friendship, and are characterized by a deep emotional bond and a high level of trust, honesty and vulnerability. They tend to be long-lasting, and may be considered as family.

It's worth mentioning that some people might have a different classification system, and that friendships can have different features, it also can change over time.
