Elon Musk, the champion of free speech, has banned several journalists

Twitter on Thursday suspended the accounts of more than half a dozen journalists who covered news about Twitter and its new owner, Elon Musk. Twitter did not say why the reporters' accounts were suspended.

Journalists whose accounts have been suspended include reporters from CNN, The New York Times, and The Washington Post, as well as freelance journalists.
Elon Musk says the journalists' accounts have been suspended because of Twitter's new policy that bans accounts that track private jets.

According to Elon Musk, criticizing him all day long is fine, but following his location and putting his family in danger is not at all, the rules of banning the publication of personal information apply to everyone, including journalists.

Some journalists were tweeting about the shutdown of the ElonJet account that tracked billionaire Musk's private jet flights and versions of the account hosted on other social networks.
