Jedco (JEDCO) has issued a special letter to the airlines operating at Jeddah King Abdulaziz International Airport.
In the post, there is a reminder regarding the restrictions regarding air transport of Zamzam water.
All the airlines have been told that according to the rules and regulations, only the people coming for Umrah and Hajj can take Zamzam water with them.
The circular further states that every person coming for Hajj and Umrah can carry a 5 liter bottle of Zamzam water, which is specially prepared for air travel.
It should be noted that in May 2022, the Saudi authorities banned those coming for visit and business visas and jobs from carrying Zamzam water with them.
