Google has announced the most popular internet topics in Pakistan during 2022 that users were interested in. The most searched topics were related to cricket, while journalists Arshad Sharif, Aamir Liaquat Hussain and cricketer Naseem Shah were also included in the list.
Google's search history revealed that Pakistanis' interests varied throughout the year and centered on topics related to politics, celebrities, government initiatives, major events, entertainment, technology and food.
This year, there was an increase in search trends related to cricket, including the T20 World Cup, Asia Cup 2022 and PSL 7, which occupied the top three positions in the overall list.
The insecurity of the country's financial system, floods and inflation and the search for government financial assistance schemes like the Ehsaas (Ehsaas) program also preoccupied people.
Apart from this, celebrities like Queen Elizabeth II, Aamir Liaquat Hussain and journalist Arshad Sharif also made it to the list.
