National Test cricketer Azhar Ali has announced his retirement

 National cricketer Azhar Ali was overwhelmed while announcing his retirement in Karachi on Friday, he said that it is a great honor for me to represent my country.

Azhar Ali said that I have good memories with the Pakistan team, my coaches have been very supportive, this will be my last match and it is a difficult time for me.

Azhar Ali said every player wants for Pakistan. I am grateful to the sports, board and selectors. Shahid Afridi and the selectors supported a lot.

Azhar Ali made his Test debut against Australia at Lord's in 2010 at the age of 25. He played 96 Test matches for Pakistan in which he scored 7097 runs, he is the fifth highest Test run scorer for Pakistan.

Azhar Ali is the only Pakistani batsman to score a triple century in a Test match, in the match against West Indies in Dubai in 2016, Azhar Ali remained not out by scoring 302 runs, which is his highest score in Test cricket.

During his 12-year career, Azhar Ali also scored two double centuries, not out with 226 against Bangladesh in Dhaka (May 2015) and 205 against Australia in Melbourne (December 2016).

Azhar captained the Pakistan cricket team in nine Tests in two separate stints from 2016 to 2020, Athar Ali retired from ODI cricket in 2018 after helping Pakistan win the Champions Trophy in 2017.

In this tournament, Azhar scored 50 (vs India), 9 (vs South Africa), 34 (vs Sri Lanka), 76 (vs England in the semi-final) and 59 (vs India in the final).
