Corona is again uncontrolled in China, shortage of medicines in medical stores

 

Beijing has been hardest hit by the latest wave of the virus, where streets are deserted and people with fevers line up outside clinics.

China announced a relaxation of its zero-covid policy last week amid strong public protests, making mass PCR testing no longer mandatory and allowing people with mild symptoms to be treated at home instead of in field hospitals.

Chinese officials say the easing of restrictions has made it difficult to estimate the exact number of cases.
